Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and ruby colored Grenache from down under opens with a very fragrant boysenberry and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild boysenberry with notes of gentle minerality and plum. I also detected hints of mild oak, gentle black raspberry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavor fade away nicely. This elegant styled Grenache is very food friendly and would pair nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Annexus is vibrant purple-red in color. The nose reveals vibrant red fruit aromatics complexed by red roses and savory spice. The palate is fine and long, delicate yet carrying impressive purity and flavor intensity. An array of ripe red fruits, dark cherry and raspberry fill the palate finishing with hints of clove, dusty earth and velvety tannins.
