Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is an oak influenced red currant with hints of strawberry. The finish is rather dry and its noticeable tannins stick around for some time. Our mini-panel thought this wine would pair well with prime rib. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Johan Vineyard’s Nils Reserve Pinot Noir features a nose of current, blackberries, spice, and earthy notes. The finish has a great acidic backbone with big full tannins, and is a great compliment to all types of food, especially red meats, pork, turkey, and salmon.
