Wine Review: This almost clear colored dry-styled Riesling from the Clare Valley in Australia is very good. It opens with a pleasant light lily bouquet with a hint of crab apple and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced tangy gooseberry and green apple peel with notes of lime and a touch of lemon verbena. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Panel thought this Riesling was versatile and food friendly. They suggested pairing it with oysters, fried clams and baked brie. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine shows a brilliant pale straw color in the glass. The nose lifts with white floral bearing lemon, lime and a hint of spice. Delicately poised with mouth-watering acidity, this Riesling is balanced with citrus and a seductive silky line, wet slate and fresh ginger. The palate has great presence, with a talc like minerality into a persistent finish.
