Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from the Clare Valley opens with a ginger and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, acidic, yet round and juicy. The flavor profile is a tart green apple with notes of ginger and pineapple. I also detected hints of lime. The finish is dry and shows very nice length as its acidity and flavors linger. This dry-styled Riesling would pair well with corn and arctic char chowder. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine shows a brilliant pale straw color in the glass. The nose lifts with aromas of kaffir lime, pear and ginger spice. Delicately poised with mouth-watering acidity, this Riesling is balanced with a burst of lime juiciness and lifted orange blossom florals. The palate has great presence with fine chalkiness leading into a persistent finish.
