Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia opens with a black currant bouquet with a hint of eucalyptus and sangria. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a slightly tart red currant with notes of dark chocolate and black tea. I also detected some hints of wild strawberry towards the end. The finish has drying tannins that build up a bit and linger nicely. This very good value Cab would pair nicely with a honey bourbon steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass this wine shows a bright garnet red with a violet hue. The nose opens with notes of juicy blackcurrant and blackberry aromatics, balanced with savory notes of dried herbs and turned earth. The palate displays generous red and black currant fruit, with hints of licorice, tobacco and savory oak. Soft, silky tannins round out a harmonious and moreish wine which can be enjoyed now or will reward cellaring for 5 years.
