Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored red blend opens with a clay pot and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a black plum and stony mineral blend with notes of oak and dark cocoa. I also detected hints of blueberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a very long time. I would pair this red blend with a grilled Angus burger topped with Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and shiitake mushrooms. Enjoy – Ken (Total Wine Exclusive)
Winemaker Notes: This uncommonly precise Merlot-based blend is perfumed and expressive, exhibiting violets, blueberries and wild cherries in the aromas, while the palate showcases a supple texture and vivid black raspberry and mocha flavors Paring: An ideal match for roast pork loin, filet mignon or mushroom risotto.
