Wine Review: This bright straw-colored Muscat Canelli opens with several bubbles in the glass. On the nose, it displays aromas of candied ginger and apricot. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and a bit spritzy. The flavor profile is a tasty fresh peach and snickerdoodle blend with notes of ginger and lychee. There are also hints of apple and lime zest in the background. The finish remains sweet and linger nicely. My sister and daughter who like sweet wines would enjoy this wine. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Muscat Canelli has a light straw color. The aromas are of ripe pears, peaches and apricots along with a spicy floral component. While the wine contains over 8% residual sugar, the flavors of apple and pear are coupled with a zesty acidity which keeps the wine bright and refreshing. There is a bit of spritz to the wine's texture and can give the impression of the wine dancing across the palate. The low alcohol of this wine keeps the finish clean and crisp. Enjoy this Muscat Canelli with fresh fruit or with a Basque cake.
