Wine Review: This brick red colored Pinot Noir from Jeff Gordon showed rather well with the panel. We awarded it 92 points. It opens with a mild strawberry and light oak bouquet with a hint of eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, savory and complex. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and gentle oak blend with hints of minerality and cherry-cola. The finish is dry and its flavors land softly. The panel suggested pairing this very good Pinot would pair well with Bavarian weisswurst or sesame tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP (June 2014 release)
Winemaker Notes: This elegant Pinot Noir is a lovely light garnet color with touches of crimson. The engaging bouquet shows subtle cranberry, tea leaf and spiced wood. After another swirl in the glass, the nose becomes more seductive with notes of Bing cherry, red plums and a hint of marshmallow. These soft, supple aromas are matched on the palate as it finishes with a silky yet warm character.
