Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet from Jeff Gordon was very well received by the panel. This wine opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with hint of eucalyptus, clove and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, shows nice structure and is smooth. The flavor profile is a pleasant black cherry with nicely integrated old oak with hints of black currant. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build up nicely and stick around. The panel suggested pairing this Cab with a NY Strip steak or Italian beef braciole. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 vintage produced some truly beautiful, high quality wines, however, quantities were low. This wine has subtle vanilla notes on top of dark fruit aromas, with undertones of Napa dust- a famous smell existing in a good Napa Cab. The fruit is framed by coating, but velvety, tannins. Decant this delicious Cab to enjoy now, or you may cellar it to savor for years down the road.
