Wine Review: This yellow colored Chard opens with a mild oak and mild Bartlett pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild toasted oak and butter blend with notes of minerality and green pear. The finish is dry and pleasant. We noted that this wine calls for food and would pair well with wild mushroom tortellini covered with a brown butter and sage sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Jeff Gordon Collection Carneros Chardonnay is our fourth release of this most popular varietal. This wine is pale yellow, straw in color. Aromas of tropical fruit, pineapple & mango mingle with hints of ripe melon, green apple and toasty oak. This wine is well balanced with a full body and moderate oak. Flavors of passion fruit, caramel, and zesty citrus show through in the long finish.
