Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from the Morgon commune is an Excellent wine and values. It opens with a mild strawberry and gentle craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is black tea and stewed red plum blend with notes of stony minerality. We also detected hints of dried strawberry. The finish is very dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a while. This Gamay paired very well with marinated steakhouse tips. Enjoy - Ken and Dave
