Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Picpoul from southern France opens with a candle wax and Easter lily bouquet with hints of honeydew melon and pear. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, viscous, and very lush. The flavor profile ripe bosc pear and ginger ale blend with notes of passionfruit and ripe honeydew melon. There is a touch of honey and white pepper towards the end. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. I would pair this Picpoul with fried clams. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Elegant, dry, and succulent possessing a lemon scented, unusual muscular body with a dry but floral finish. This wine is perfect with shellfish and local fare as its high natural acidity. Lovely as an aperitif or with any seafood appetizers and or seafood main courses. Great with salads, chicken dishes and crab cakes.
