Wine Review: This zesty and affordable Sauvignon Blanc from Monterey County is a pale straw color with aromas that include lemon-lime, sweet honeysuckle, wet granite, fresh basil, and tarragon herbs. It has a delightful freshness on the palate, with a round and silky mouthfeel. It is medium-minus bodied with medium-plus acidity and has good balance. There are flavors of grapefruit, saline, lemon-lime, ginger ale, and mango. The finish is crisp and lingers for a while. This pool-side sipper can be served lightly chilled with a fresh caprese salad. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Spotlights aromas of honeysuckle, lime, sweet herbs, and fig. These aromas are complemented on the palate by the bright flavors of grapefruit, kiwi, key lime, and passionfruit, with the rich texture and long finish provided by acacia barrels. Serve as an aperitif with goat cheese or oysters. A delightful accompaniment to sushi and sashimi.
