Wine Review: This light maroon colored GSM blend from J. Lohr opens with a fragrant red raspberry and pomegranate bouquet with hints of violets, wild strawberry, and clay. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, fruit forward, and ripe. The flavor profile is a ripe strawberry jam and red licorice blend with notes of cedar and black pepper. We also detected hints of cinnamon and tart pomegranate. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this expressive GSM with grilled salmon or with rosemary encrusted lamb chops. Enjoy - KWGTP
