Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend opens with a blackberry and oak bouquet with a hint boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The flavor policy is a tasty black plum and blackberry blend with notes of oak and blueberry. I also detected hints of herbal tea and cherry. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins and fruit flavors linger and last for a while. This wine would pair very nicely with Theresa's homemade meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate, with a firm and appetizing finish. Serve with Santa Maria-style grilled tri-tip seasoned with a simple garlic, salt, and pepper rub.
