Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a spiced plum and black raspberry bouquet with hints of graphite. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright and savory. The flavor profile is a spiced plum and a black pepper blend with notes of oak, graphite, and black cherry. The finish is dry, and its very dusty tannins and flavors linger and last for a very long time. This Merlot will pair well with a juicy burger or steak tips. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 J. Lohr Estates Los Osos Merlot is medium-dark in color with a ruby hue. Varietal aromas of black plum, black currant, and violet are elevated by a light barrel signature of baking spices and toasted pastry. 14% Malbec in the blend contributes aromatic notes of pomegranate and hibiscus flower while bringing juiciness to the palate.
