Wine Review: This deep purple colored wine opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet with a hint of fig and chocolate almond fudge. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced, and has a very nice soft and satiny mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a black currant and mild stony mineral blend with notes of vanilla-oak, black cherry and plum. We also detected hints of black pepper and black tea. The finish is huge. It features very substantial dry tannins that stick around for quite a while. This wine needs to be paired with a black and blue New York strip steak. Enjoy – Ken and Mark
Winemaker Notes: Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit and spice character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate with a firm and appetizing finish. Pairs well with tomato rice dishes like paella.
