Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel based blend opens with a fruitcake and bramble berry bouquet with hints of cinnamon tea, licorice, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and juicy. The flavor profile is a very fruit forward red currant and stewed black plum blend with notes of black licorice nips and balsamic. I also detect hints of espresso, black pepper, cinnamon, black olive, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild tannins linger nicely. This wine paired nicely with Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy - Ken
