Wine Review: This wheat-colored Pinot Grigio from J. Dusi is very good. It opens with an inviting pineapple and honeydew melon bouquet with hints of apple sauce, quince, and chamomile tea. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild pear and green apple blend with notes of gentle pineapple, white peach, and honeydew melon. We also detected hints of chamomile tea and ginger. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would serve this versatile and very food friendly Pinot Grigio with baked haddock topped with Ritz cracker crumbs or with grilled sea bass. Winemaker Notes: Cornsilk in color, this vibrant Pinot Grigio has a nose of stone fruit and gravel. This white wine opens with a delicate white peach. Its acidity builds on the mid-palate to reveal bright tropical fruits, followed by juicy ripe cantaloupe on the finish.
