Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Zinfandel from J. Dusi opens with a dried cranberry and pomegranate bouquet with hints of boysenberry, latex, and loam. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is spiced black plum and black pepper blend with notes of sweet tea and ripe blackberry. We also detected hints of black cherry, black licorice, tobacco, and a touch of molasses. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Zin with lamb lollipops or Stuart’s steak treats. Enjoy – KWGTP
