Wine Review: This opaque and medium purple colored Mourvèdre opens with a wet granite and acai berry bouquet with a hint of mint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, rich, and savory. The flavor profile is a black raspberry, sautéed mushrooms and loam blend with notes of black plum and stony minerality. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Mourvèdre with duck confit or with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
