Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from J. Davies opens with a ground coffee and cranberry bouquet with hints of pomegranate, pencil shavings, and violet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a rich mocha and red plum blend with notes of cinnamon, hazelnut, and red licorice. We also detected faint hints of cedar and cardamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and fine-grained tannins fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our 2021 J. Davies "Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon presents a bouquet of brooding black currant, blackberry, cocoa powder, and toasted marshmallow, layered with espresso and anise. A powerful entry on the palate leads to a broad mid-palate of lush black cherry, pomegranate, acai berry, and black pepper, which is completed with a velvety, balanced structure, and long finish.
