Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Diamond Mountain District opens with a menthol and black raspberry bouquet with hints of spiced plum, crushed gravel and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, nicely balanced, polished and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and black cherry blend with notes of menthol and dark chocolate. We also detected hints of minerality and coffee. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up and are extended for quite a while. The Panel suggested that this Cab would be nice to drink on its own. With food they suggested pairing it with porterhouse steak and chocolate mousse. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet opens with rich aromas of blackberry, cherry and dried floral elements, accentuated by undertones of vanilla, clove and milk chocolate. Integrated tannins anchor the wine’s well-structured palate, where a concentrated and powerful entry of plum, black currant and raspberry leads to a smooth finish with a touch of cocoa powder and graphite.
