Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Cabernet from Diamond Mountain opens with a mild cassis and cedar bouquet with a hint of olive and menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe plum with notes of gentle cherry and blueberry. The panel also detected some hints of olive and chewing tobacco as well. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this cherry amaretto chicken or pork chops with cinnamon apple sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Dark perfumed aromas of blueberry and brambleberry are accentuated with mocha, vanilla cream, and tobacco. The palate is bold, complex and fruitful. Wild berry compote and black cherry flavors mingle with notes of black tea and dark chocolate. All aspects are seamlessly brought together with fine grain tannins that sustain a long and luxurious finish.
