Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with an attractive teaberry, clove, and red plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is tasty clove, red plum, and teaberry blend with notes of loam and cedar. I also detected hints of cinnamon spice and red cherry. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. I would pair this Pinot with a with German Jagerschnitzel. (Hunter Schnitzel with Mushroom Gravy) Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Appassionata bottling is a special selection of a few extraordinary barrels of Pinot Noir, aged and released only when we believe it is ready to drink. This cuvée is dense and powerful with continued structure yet retains an Old World elegance and finesse. It shows off the magic transformation that only comes from bottle age.
