Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from J. Christopher opens with a fragrant and attractive cherry liquor, RC Cola, clove, dark chocolate, and new leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is super smooth, juicy, and balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of black cherry, cola, and cedar plank with notes of loam, strawberry licorice, and clove. I also detected hints of mushroom and cinnamon in the aftertaste. The finish drifts away nicely. This crowd-pleasing Old World styled Pinot will not last long. It is easy to quaff. I would pair it with a veal chop with portobello mushrooms or with turkey tetrazzini. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
