Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and displays ripe fruit. That fruit is ripe black cherry and black plum with notes of oak. I also detected a hint of currant and dash of pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This Pinot would pair perfectly with roasted pork shoulder with figs, garlic, and this Pinot Noir in the sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is the flagship J. Christopher wine. The 2012 is blended from excellent vineyards in four of the Willamette Valley
