Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a pleasant mild pomegranate and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, delicate, and savory. The flavor profile is a red plum and cola blend with hints of cranberry and oak. The finish is dry and rolls away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and refined, but needs a bit of air to settle its initial acidity. I would decant it briefly and pair it with Emeril's pork tenderloins with quince puree and port wine glaze. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Great pride is taken in the elegant, refreshing character of this Pinot Noir produced from Napa's famed cool-climate Carneros district. It shows fresh violet, cherry and raspberry aromas and eschews over-extraction in favor of a food-friendly, vivacious style that's ideally suited to antipasti, grilled salmon or roast duck. It's a juicy Carneros Pinot Noir of uncommon finesse and charm.
