Wine Review: This bright straw-colored sparkler from Iron Horse displays both tiny and medium sized steaming bubbles. It opens with a fragrant moist bread dough bouquet with hints of walnut and green apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, round and refreshing. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality, lemon and honeydew melon blend with notes of brioche with a hint of ginger. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors show very nice length. This sparkler would pair well with grilled scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful gold straw color with fine, persistent bubbles. The Classic Vintage Brut has aromas of green apple, honeysuckle, and a hint of fresh brioche. The inviting nose leads to flavors of baked apple on the front palate, with honeysuckle really shining through on the finish. This wine has bright acidity, a touch of creaminess, and a delicious long, lingering finish.
