Wine Review: This white gold colored sparkling wine from Iron Horse displays small to medium sized bubbles that consistently stream up. It opens with a sourdough, almond and light lemon curd bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with slightly elevated acidity. The flavor profile is a lemon-lime and green tea blend with notes of bread dough, refined minerality, almond and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. This sparkler would pair perfectly with linguini and clam sauce. Enjoy – Ken & Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Ocean Reserve is a special, limited edition, vintage Blanc de Blancs, created in partnership with National Geographic. Iron Horse gives $4 a bottle to National Geographic's Ocean Initiative, establishing marine protected areas and supporting sustainable fishing practices around the globe. On the nose: Orange zest, Tahitian lime and minerality. Flavors of lime, tangerine and creamy richness on the finish. Pair with seafood.
