Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand opens with fragrant gooseberry and lime zest bouquet with hints of white grapefruit pith. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, zesty, and fresh. The flavor profile is a lime and nectarine pit blend with notes of saline and white grapefruit. I also detected some hints of stone dust, white pepper, and passion fruit. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity linger and last for a while. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with swordfish shish kabobs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine brings the layers of its two diverse Sauvignon Blanc vineyards into play. Bright aromas of grapefruit, orange blossom and stone fruit are delivered with a refreshing mineral edge. The palate is medium-bodied with a showcase of guava and ripe citrus flavors supported by savory herbs. A lively line of natural acidity provides focus to the long and clean finish.
