Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Pinot Noir from “Central Otago” is very good. It opens with a black raspberry and spiced plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and has a nice round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a loamy earth and black plum blend with notes of black raspberry and oak. I also detected hints of red licorice, cherry, and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this tasty Pinot with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A lively red and blue fruit aroma supported by savory, spicy undertones of clove, sage and lavender. The palate delivers juicy raspberry and cherry flavors with earthy undertones. The wine has a lovely weight and texture with polished, structured tannins and vibrant natural acidity.
