Wine Review: This almost clear colored Chenin Blanc from South Africa is a good value. It opens with a fragrant green apple and honeysuckle bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle a gentle green apple with nicely integrated mild minerality. I also detected hints of lemongrass. The finish is dry and its flavors quietly fade away. The Chenin Blanc is very versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with chicken and broccoli or chicken francese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Chenin Blanc is South Africa's most widely planted varietal and the Cape's signature white. This bright, easy-drinking version provides lively flavors of honeyed pear, golden delicious apple and succulent tropical fruit.
