Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet opens with black plum and black cherry like bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, fruit forward and easy going. The flavor profile is a pleasant black raspberry with hints of cassis, light oak and a touch black licorice. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are friendly. This is a nicely priced everyday Cab that would pair well with a sautéed mushroom and bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has a silky richness and great depth with blackberry, blueberry, and strawberry flavors, along with a trace of warm vanilla and nutmeg. Pour the Genesis Cabernet with prime rib, pepper and garlic crusted roast beef, or grilled steaks.
