Wine Review: This dark red colored Shiraz from Hickenbotham opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a hint of strawberry rhubarb and balsam. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is black plum with notes of mild oak and hints of minerality and blackberry. The finish is dry and its fine tannins linger and last for a while. The panel suggested this elegant Shiraz would pair perfectly with beef carpaccio, filet mignon or tuna tartare with sesame. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Supple and refined, Brooks Road reflects its cooler source in its elegance and finesse. It's immediately harmonious and smooth, despite its wide scope of aromas and flavours, which range from Morello cherries, through faint bergamot, to creamy orange chocolate with soft velvet tannins. While it's assured to offer profound delight as it mellows and matures, it's a silky treat already.
