Wine Review: This bright red colored blend is appealing and a good party wine. It opens with a blueberry bouquet with a hint of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle blueberry and boysenberry blend with hints of faint minerality and oak. The finish is dry with mild and friendly tannins. I would pair this nice affordable red with grilled barbecue steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Sometimes, less is more and sometimes, if you're lucky, more is more, as in this wonderful blend featuring Syrah, Petite Sirah and Merlot. There's a touch of sweetness from the ripe, dark fruit, accented by a decidedly big impression of bing cherries and ripe plums. The tannins are nicely soft and inviting. With aromas and flavors like this, well, it's a crowd pleaser, pure and simple. Food Pairing: Grilled meats, such as flank steak, or a hamburger with blue cheese. Cured meats and aged cheeses like a gouda or dry jack.
