Wine Review: Readers who love classic California-styled Chardonnay are going to love this white blend from Portugal. It is pale white gold colored and opens with a very attractive lemon and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a yummy vanilla oak and butter infused apple with hints of lemon in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger quite a while after the wine is gone. Readers will find this wine will pair very well with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Clear, pale straw with green hues. Intense aromas of ripe tangerine and apricot with subtle notes of toast and smoke from barrel fermentation. Complex, creamy, well balanced palate showing full fruit flavours and mineral notes with a long and fresh finish. Pair with seafood salads, vegetarian dishes, baked fish, roast duck with orange.
