Wine Review: This straw yellow colored white blend from Portugal is very impressive for an entry level offering. It opens with a mild apple bouquet with hints of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. It is also smooth in the mouth with no hard edges. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild Anjou pear with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of white pepper and Granny Smith apple. The finish is rather dry and pleasant. This terrific value white wine is a real quaffer and would be perfect with Nova Scotia steamed mussels. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Light straw colour. Fresh fruity aroma with notes of white peach and orange peel. Elegant and well balanced with body and richness, persistent and flavoursome finish. Serve with shellfish and grilled fish, soft cheeses, salads and vegetarian dishes.
