Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a very fragrant black raspberry bouquet with notes of old oak and ripe blackberry as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, yet has a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is an extracted ripe plum and Chambord blend with notes of oak, black pepper. The finish is rather dry and its intense fruit flavors and a little heat linger for a while after the wine is gone. This wine will really appeal to readers who like full throttle red and Port. This wine is built for a hearty meal. I would decant it and serve it with slow cooked beef stew. Enjoy - Ken
