Wine Review: This dark red colored Grenache based blend from Barossa opens with a very inviting blueberry bouquet with notes of cherry-cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty oak influenced black currant with notes of blueberry and plum. I also detected hints of minerality and a touch of licorice. The finish is dry and its medium tannins are well-managed and linger nicely. I would pair this blend with a thick cut of prime rib. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Traditional aromatics of strawberries and raspberries are joined by alluring aromatics of rose petal, Turkish delight and an underlying stone fruit lift. Soft even tannin manages to fill every crevice of the palate, providing the framework for a flavour profile of luscious red fruits and a savoury finish.
