Wine Review: This dark pink colored Rose Champagne from Henriot displays a few tiny streaming bubbles. It opens with a bread dough and faint strawberry bouquet with a hint of lemon curd. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a bread dough and gentle strawberry blend with notes of refined minerality. We also detected hints of cranberry and lime. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Champagne with red snapper or a turkey dinner. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Rose vintage 2012 presents shades of coral, is vivid rather than pale, and is both elegant and intensely flavored. A string of bubbles takes form and reveals its delicate foaming mousse. On the nose, delicate fruit-laden notes underscore a fresh, striking minerally streak. On the palate, the texture comes through in the piercing aromas and mellow softness of wild strawberries. The flavors are consistent and linger on the palate as they whet the appetite, accompanied by a creamy edge so typical of the Henriot style.
