Wine Review: This dark purple colored blend from Paso Robles opens with a fragrant pomegranate and cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a bit savory. The flavor profile is mild black plum with notes of light cherry and gentle minerality. I also detected hints of black olive, black pepper and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors are slightly prolonged. This wine would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2015 Randolph is a stunning wine as versatile as any we've ever bottled. It possesses traits of a wine blessed with both juicy ripeness and composed balance. Its great versatility makes this wine an easy choice for a weeknight pasta dish or a Saturday evening dinner party. The nose is jam-packed with lush high-toned cherry and supported by toasted oak and vanilla. In the palate, bright acidity in the attack brings forward dark stone fruit flavors of satsuma plum which course through the palate with a creamy, soft texture that lingers into the finish. While this wine will age for years, it is also remarkably drinkable in its youth.
