Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Head High is very good. It opens with a blueberry and strawberry rhubarb bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with gentle acidity. It is balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a red currant and loamy earth blend with notes of pomegranate. It also detected hints of strawberry rhubarb, red raspberry, and cinnamon mixed in. The finish is dry, and its mild tannins and flavors linger nicely. This well-priced Pinot would pair well with a salmon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Head High Pinot Noir comes from pure, unadulterated Sonoma County fruit. Wine grower, Bill Price, grew up in Hawaii, where surfing became a lifelong passion of his, before returning to California and falling in love with wine. Head High wines are just like head high waves: pure, unadulterated and ready to go. We hope you join us on this ride!
