Wine Review: This wine is a sparkling clear medium ruby color in the glass, with a nose of ripe red raspberry, musty bramble, mint and pine pitch. On the palate, it is medium bodied with medium-plus acidity. We also found it to be smooth, juicy and balanced. There are flavors of concentrated raspberry, spiced cherry, and plum with notes of dried herbs, black tea and toasty oak. It has mild tannins in the finish that fade away nicely. We also detected a touch of heat at the very end. We feel like this Pinot would go nicely with pan-cooked pork chops or with a pan-roasted Long Island duckling with mashed turnips. – Joe and Mark
