Wine Review: This deep purple colored Petite Sirah opens boysenberry bouquet with a hint of acai berry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very drinkable. On the palate, this wine is very restrained for a Petite Sirah. My sense is the 2014 soft vintage is reflected here. That said, it is also elegant, food friendly and would pair well with a filet mignon. The flavor profile is a mild graphite influenced acai berry and blueberry tea blend. The finish is very refined for a Petite Sirah. It quietly fades away. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deeply suffused and dense ruby color; floral notes of violet and rose with a finish of white pepper fill the nose with an elegantly complex fragrance. The juxtaposition of both black and red fruit are the perfect marriage, with notes of blackberry, raspberry and blueberry. Finely integrated tannins provide the structure indicative of the varietal. Pair with herbed pork tenderloin.
