Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Harken will appeal to lovers of oaky styled wines. It opens with a lemon, pear and pineapple bouquet with notes of new oak in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced Bosc pear with notes of green apple and vanilla. I also detected hints of toffee as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wines is gone. This flavorful Chard is a very good deal and would pair well with lobster pie. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This rich Chardonnay exhibits a classic profile of tropical fruit and Bosc pear alongside warm oak aromatics. The luscious palate suggests creme brulee and buttered toast, and finishes with fresh acidity. Pairings: Cantaloupe with prosciutto, seared white fish over herbed farro.
