Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored classic Shiraz opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very balanced, super smooth and elegant. The flavor profile is a mild plum and blueberry blend with hints of black cherry and mild oak in the background. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This rare Shiraz is a perfect special occasion wine and would pair well with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Brooding, impenetrable, dense red, vibrant hue. Bouquet: Not for the shy. Highly complex with masses of rich dark fruits, chocolate, plums, mint, mulberries, pencilly, graphite, tar, ink, spice, pepper and opulent oak. Palate : A full-bodied, dense, super concentrated wine with power to burn! Layer upon layer of explosive, opulent fruit unravels itself on the palate. Dark chocolate, licorice, blackberry and dark plum flavors, with an overlay of mocha and vanillin oak. Sublime depth and persistence and quite opulent texture match with very fine grained, but firm tannins that are concealed by the sheer volume of fruit. Exceptionally long aftertaste!
