Wine Review: This pale straw colored Pinot Gris from Anderson Valley opens with faint ginger and lime like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple with nicely integrated mild minerality, Bosc pear, faint lime and white pepper. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing. This Pinot Gris is a quaffer and would be very nice by the pool or at the beach this summer. Serve slightly chilled with grilled shrimp or shrimp cocktail with no sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, this Pinot Gris offers tropical aromas of papaya and banana, with hints of orange blossom and freesia. Flavors of grapefruit, nectarines, and creamscicle, with hints of butterscotch and savory spices accompany a crisp, yet creamy, mouth feel. This wine would pair nicely with a cold cucumber soup, gazpacho, oysters, or steamed mussels with garlic and butter.
