Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Gewurztraminer from Handley opens with a fragrant tangerine bouquet with hints of a lychee and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is similar to the bouquet with flavors of tangerine, lychee and a touch of tart grapefruit mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a bit. This wine would pair well with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The grapes for this wine were sourced entirely from Anderson Valley vineyards. Aromas of papaya, tangerine, Meyer lemon, muskmelon, and freesia on the nose. Flavors of mandarin orange, grapefruit, pineapple, lemongrass and nutmeg are balanced on the palate with a clean, refreshing finish. This Gewürztraminer is a great sipping wine all on its own. It also makes the perfect complement to Asian cuisine, standing up to the spicy heat of Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese food.
