Wine Review: This almost clear colored Pinot Gris from Handley opens with a mild peach and tangerine bouquet with a hint lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and a little mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced lime and green apple with hints of white pepper. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Pinot Gris would pair well with seared scallops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The fruit for this wine is sourced from the Helluva and Romani Vineyards located at opposite ends of Anderson Valley. A small amount of Pinot Blanc from Rivino Vineyard in Ukiah was added to round out the racy acidity of this wine. Helluva vineyard provides the tropical and herbal notes while Romani provides riper stone fruit characters. Aromas of nectarines, lemon blossoms, and thyme. Mouthwatering flavors of guava and lemon zest interplay with fleshy nectarine, peach pit, bees wax with hints of lemongrass.
